Mobile IV Stand — instructions for use
Model: IVSTND-260 | English | Rev 1.2 | 25 October 2026
Read these instructions before assembly and use. Keep them with the stand. This is a non-sterile, reusable
medical device for use by trained healthcare staff indoors.

Intended purpose
IVSTND-260 supports compatible infusion bags or bottles on four hooks and organises light clinical supplies
on a removable tray and lower basket. It also has supports for a waste bin and a compatible 1 L round sharps
container. Its contribution is mechanical support and access to supplies during care.
The stand does not pump, measure, administer or monitor an infusion and does not contact the fluid pathway.
It does not support or transport the patient.

Do not use the stand for
Sitting, standing, lifting, walking support or patient transport; mounting pumps or other equipment on the tube;
outdoor use; stairs; uneven or sloping floors. MRI suitability has not been established.
Stop use if the stand is unstable or a joint, height lock, wheel, brake or attachment is defective. Residual risks
include tipping or falling loads, unintended movement, pinching at clamps, snagged tubing, sharps injury and
cross-contamination from inadequate cleaning and disinfection. Keep within all load limits, use the brakes,
secure loads, keep hands and lines clear, and follow the sharps-container and cleaning instructions.

                                                                                     ECI-IFU-STND-260 | Rev 1.2 | Page 1

Assembly
Follow the sequence below using the matching supplied parts and hardware. Do not substitute fasteners.

1 Prepare the telescopic pole

Remove the hexagonal screw from the bottom of the pole.
Align the hand-tightening screw with the hole at the
telescopic connection and tighten it to secure the pole. No
                                               tools required.

2 Fit the tray support

Slide the tray support onto the pole from the bottom and
position it at the required height. Secure it with the black T-
shaped screw supplied for the support. No tools required.

3 Attach the pole to the base

Insert the plastic cover into the central hole of the base.
Insert the pole and secure it from underneath with the M10
× 35 hexagonal combination screw. Use the 16 mm open-
                                               ended wrench.

4 Fit the lower mounting plate

Remove the clamp from the lower mounting-plate assembly.
Position the plate and clamp around the pole as shown and
secure them with two M6 × 65 socket-head screws. Use the
                                               5 mm hex key.

                                                                                 ECI-IFU-STND-260 | Rev 1.2 | Page 2

5 Fit the basket

Align the basket with the threaded holes on the back of the
mounting plate. Secure it with two M4 × 12 socket-head
screws. Use the 3 mm hex key.

6 Fit the waste bin

Align the waste bin with the two hooks on the mounting
plate. Lower it onto the hooks and press down firmly. No
                                                tools required.

7 Fit the sharps-container holder

Position the holder beneath the tray support, aligning the
two fixing holes shown. Secure it with two M4 × 10
countersunk hex-socket screws. Use the 2.5 mm hex key.

8 Fit the removable tray

Lower the stainless-steel tray into the tray support. Check
that it is seated securely before loading. No tools required.

After assembly, check every joint and attachment, both brakes and the height lock before placing the stand in
service.

                                                                                 ECI-IFU-STND-260 | Rev 1.2 | Page 3

Before each use
• Check that the stand is clean, the identification is readable and the surfaces are intact.
• Check all joints, clamps and accessories for secure attachment. Check that the tray is seated properly.
• Check that all wheels turn freely and both brakes operate. Apply both brakes and check that the stand stays
stationary.
• Support the upper tube before loosening the height lock. Adjust within 1200–2000 mm, retighten the lock
and check that the tube does not slip before loading.
• Distribute the hook loads evenly and keep within all individual and combined load limits.

Stationary use and movement
Apply both wheel brakes during stationary use. Keep fingers clear of sliding and locking parts. Keep the
infusion tubing clear of the wheels and any parts that could trap or pull it.
Before moving the stand, secure the containers and retract the sharps-container holder beneath the tray.
Release the brakes and push slowly, keeping the load stable. Approach small door thresholds cautiously; stop
and obtain assistance if the stand is unstable. Do not force the loaded stand over an obstruction.

Using the sharps-container holder
Pull out the holder for use and return it beneath the tray for movement. Use the compatible round 1 L sharps
container. Follow the container manufacturer’s fill limit, closure and disposal instructions. Do not place sharps
in the ordinary waste bin. The holder does not replace the container’s protective features or instructions.

Cleaning and disinfection
Remove supplies and waste safely. Remove soiling with a soft cloth and mild detergent in water. Wipe off
detergent with a clean damp cloth and allow the surface to air dry. Do not mix chemicals, immerse the stand,
pressure-wash it or use abrasive cleaners.
Disinfect with ready-to-use hospital surface-disinfectant wipes based on 70% isopropyl alcohol. Keep the
surface visibly wet for the full contact time stated on the wipe label, re-wetting if needed. Do not use other
disinfectant types.

Maintenance, service life and warranty
Specific scheduled maintenance: none. Carry out the before-use checks in this manual. Stop using a stand
with loose joints, a slipping lock, faulty brakes, damaged parts or surfaces that cannot be cleaned. Qualified
personnel must repair it and verify safe function before reuse.
Expected service life: at least five years under normal use, subject to the condition checks in this manual.
Warranty: two years. The expected service life is not an extension of the warranty.

                                                                                    ECI-IFU-STND-260 | Rev 1.2 | Page 4
